	Traverse PC- Volumes
	Version 5 added state-of-the-art Contours, Volumes and DTM to TPC Desktop Professional. You can be computing volumes without even thinking about it - it's that simple.

	Three Ways to Compute Volumes...
	To the Border – TPC triangulates just the border, creating a surface that models the bottom of a stock pile or original surface of a borrow pit. If you were not there to topo the original surface, this can be used as a ‘best guess’. To Any Elevation – use this to compare the cut and fill volumes if you excavate a site to a certain grade. TPC reports the cut and fill separately, plus you can get a cut sheet showing the cut or fill of each topo point to the elevation. To Another Surface – compare any two surfaces. TPC reports the volume between them. Use this to show the phases of a construction project.

	Cut, Fill and Net Volumes...
	TPC computes the cut, fill and net volumes for any contour object. You have your pay items right there.

	Cut, Fill and Total Area...
	TPC adds up the cut, fill and total plan area of a contour object.

	Surface Area...
	TPC computes the surface area of each surface of the TIN (Triangulated Irregular Network). These areas are summed to give you the surface area of the contour object.

	Contour Report...
	Just choose the Summary button in the Volumes / Area dialog and you'll get a concise report of the volumes and areas of the contour.
