Enhanced AutoCAD
Support |
|
R10 - R2006
Version 9.0 reads
and writes R10 to R2006 DWG / DXF files.
AutoDesk has
announced it is dropping support for R2000 / R2002 in
January of 2006. Only R2004 and higher will be supported
after that time.
Version 9.0
extends its DWG compatibility backwards to R10 to
accommodate
those users who still need to interface with Softdesk DCA
files when a number of Traverse PC users have requested
support for.
AutoCAD DWF
The DWF (Drawing
Web Format) allows drawings to be exchanged more easily via
e-mail and the web. They are generally smaller than DWG
files and can be viewed with programs like AutoDesk's DWF
Composer. Many free viewers are available on the web (search
for DWG Viewer).
Raster Image
Support
Version 9.0 now
supports raster images when importing and exporting DWG
files (DWF is also supported on export). You can now use a
background image or vicinity map in any TPC drawing and
export it to CAD. |
| |
|
MicroStation
V7/V8 DGN |
|
Version 8.0 reads DGN V7 / V8 files and writes V8 files.
DGN is the drawing format used by Bentley products and
MicroStation. They store drawing information much like
AutoDesk's DWG files. |
|
File Import
/ Export |
|
Topcon GTS Files - Read data files directly from your
Topcon GTS total station. You'll get raw angles and
distances along with control points, side shots, instrument
& target height.
SMI Jett CE Files - Transfer your Jett CE files with
ActiveSync then read them right into TPC Desktop.
|
| |
|
Adobe PDF |
|
Write a PDF file from any view, including your drawings.
There are are millions copies of Acrobat Reader out there
which can be downloaded FREE. PDF documents are viewable on
Windows and non-Windows platforms alike. The PDF files add
more muscle to TPC's Universal Map Sharing
(UMS). |
| |
|
Coordinate Table |
|
New Coordinate Table - Now you can include the
coordinates and/or latitude and longitude of points used in
your drawing. Got a lot of points - specify multiple
columns.
Multiple Columns - Break any table into multiple
columns with Version 9.0. Just tell TPC how many
columns you want for each table.
|
| |
|
HTML Help |
|
Version 9.0 uses HTML help to bring you the
easiest way yet to get the help you need when
you need it. One of the best things about HTML
help is adding topics to your Favorites menu.
View your TPC help topics just by opening your
browser. |
|
|
| |
|
Drawing Codes |
|
Version 9 adds drawing codes so you can turn your field
data into a map, even without point codes. Begin or end a
line, draw a figure, draw a rectangle or fit a curve. Drawing codes aren't for
everyone, but if you use them on your data collector, you
can use them in TPC Desktop Version 9. |
| |
|
Extras |
|
Other Version 9 extras include moving multiple
traverses in Quick View, leading zeros in bearing
labels, distance units in line tables, improved
closure reporting in the Closure View, expanded
support for Trimble RTK data records and more.
We have also renamed the Real Estate Edition to
Property Edition to better reflect its use in
mapping property deed descriptions. |
