Universal Map Sharing - UMS™
Share maps with Engineers and Architects now that V6.5 can export DWG files to AutoCAD with amazing detail.  And, share maps with customers and colleagues alike now that V6.5 can save a drawing as an .EMF file.  This "universal" format can be used in virtually every software package that uses graphics.  That list includes popular Word Processors, Spreadsheets and Desktop Publishing software.  Save a Drawing as an .EMF file and print it at 24" X 36" for the Contractor, 8.5" X 11" for Archiving in a file folder or providing it to the County, and any size the Customer may want for advertising or marketing purposes.  TPC V6.5 also supports Shape Files, .TIF, JPG and GIF graphics formats for importing to a drawing.
Microsoft® .NET Platform
Microsoft® is building its future on the .NET Framework.  Windows XP is built entirely on .NET, and software developers are following suit for good reason.  Perhaps the biggest advantage of moving to .NET is its redesigned graphics engine, called GDI+.  For the first time ever, Windows makes good on the promise of true device independent graphics.  Now when you plot your survey map, it looks just like it does on your computer screen.  Fill patterns print at the same density, text is exactly the same size and printed lines have the same number of dashes per inch.  Rectangles in survey space retain their height and width when the survey is rotated - thanks Microsoft!

Map Archiving

One of the most exciting new and fantastic features is MAP ARCHIVING.  We’ve added the ability to save your maps as Windows Enhanced Meta Files (.emf).  These “graphics” files are like “snapshots” of the drawing that can be archived or backed up. They are universal so you don’t need special “viewer” software to see them like some software packages require.  You can view and/or print your maps using most any software product you currently have and you can electronically send a map to anyone with a Windows computer.  You don’t have to worry about what kind of software they have.  Save a map as a .EMF and then insert it into a report or onto another map.  You can rotate/flip the graphic to get just the right affect.  Print one out on 8.5” x 11” paper for the client or file one away for future reference.  You can zoom in or out on them as much as you want without distortion.  Share control diagrams, client maps, etc. with colleagues.  There are literally hundreds of ways to use this great new feature.

SMI Data Collector Support

TPC Version 6.5 adds support for SMI data collectors.  Now you can download data collected on SMI data collectors and import directly into TPC V6.5.

Expanded Line Types

We’ve added some new road and railroad Line Types and all line types are available for most objects.   Lines are smoother than ever before and you can easily embed text or objects.   Mix line types with fill patterns to better delineate areas on your maps and create some great graphic affects.

.TIF File Imports

Many tax lot maps are available online and are often .TIF files.  TPC Version 6.5 now supports Importing .TIF Files and, of course, you can rotate, crop, scale, mirror and resize them to fit perfectly on any survey map.

Sun Shots

TPC Version 6.5 adds Sun Shots to the many features of TPC Professional.

Rotate Objects

Now you can rotate objects in paper space.  Rotate Line and Curve Tables, Legends, North Arrows and anything else you need to rotate to make your maps even more professional and expert.

Outlined Fonts

Now you can create Outlined Text to use over a map to provide a Outlined Fonts on Label that makes the map look more 'expert".

Edit Pictures

Using Pictures in Travers PC V6.5 is a tremendous advantage for TPC Users.  You can Crop, Flip, Mirror, Rotate Pictures Right Inside TPC
