Leica Wildsoft

TPC supports the Leica Wildsoft format. It can Import and Export directly to a Leica total station or Wild GRE module and also read/write GSI format files.

Leica and Wild refer to the same file format. Wild is the older name for Leica.

GSI (Geo Serial Interface) defines both the data format and serial communications parameters. TPC uses the G2 366e - X1.91 GSI specification. The term GSI is not used extensively in product literature so this file type is not referred to as the GSI format.

Exporting Leica Files

Only point labels and coordinates are exported using word index 11. This index allows up to 8 characters for a point label.

The dialog will indicate when the export is complete.

Importing Leica Files

The dialog will indicate when the import is complete./P>

TPC will add a new traverse to the survey and put all of the imported points into it. The imported points also show up in the Points Manager. If you don’t want the traverse you can delete it. The points will remain in the Points Manager.

TPC supports the following GSI word indices:

11 point number
21 horizontal circle
22 vertical angle (zenith)
31 slope distance
32 horizontal distance
33 vertical distance
41 code
71 description
81 FS easting
82 FS northing
83 FS elevation
84 OP easting
85 OP northing
86 OP elevation

TPC supports the following codes:

1 start job
11 assign coordinates
13 target height
14 target height offset
15 measured distance offset
2 occupied point
3 foresight
31 sideshot
32 radial sideshots
63 comments
100 turns descriptors off

TPC uses the codes as defined by Wild Soft.
