Trimming Symbols

There are two ways to trim symbols

Globally for the Drawing

• Choose Tools | Drawing Settings and left click the Clear Background tab.
  
• Turn on [X] All Survey Space Block/Symbols.
  
• Choose OK.

This method creates white space behind any survey space block or symbol. Survey lines are not actually trimmed, but they look trimmed when the drawing is printed or plotted.

By Individual Traverses

You can also trim symbols for individual traverses. This method gives you finer control over which symbols get trimmed. It also ACTUALLY trims the lines, making them shorter. This method also works only on traverse lines generate from the Traverse Settings. It will not trim lines you draw manually.

Double click any object drawn by a traverse or right click it and choose

Turn on [X] Trim Symbols.
