World files establish the position, rotation and scale of a picture inserted into a drawing. TPC support both the reading and writing of world files.
When you insert a picture, TPC looks for an associated world file and uses it to insert the picture. As a result, you will not be prompted to specify the location or size of the picture. Once the picture has been inserted you will be able to change or remove the world file used to position it or you can over-ride thw world file.
TPC looks for a corresponding World File for the imported picture. It uses the picture filename to create possible World File names then looks to see if they exist in the same folder as the picture. The first matching World File to be found is used for the picture. You can select a different World File after the picture is inserted.
Right click the picture and choose Properties to display the Picture Properties dialog. The World File for this picture is displayed in the dialog. Type the name of the World File you want to use or choose Browse to locate an to locate an alternative World File.
When you close the Picture Properties dialog, TPC updates the picture based on the currently selected World File.
If you try to reposition, rotate or resize a picture that has been positioned by a World File TPC prompts you to Over-Ride the World File. If you choose Yes, the picture's reference to the World File is broken. If you choose No, the picture retains its World File reference and TPC cancels the changes you tried to make to it.
Once you have a picture geo-referenced to a drawing, you can write the corresponding World File. The World File will now control to position of the picture if it is used in the future.
Right click the picture and choose Properties t display the Picture Properties dialog. Then choose Write World File. TPC appends the letter 'w' to the current picture filename and writes the World File.
