Edit Surface Border Command
The shape of a surface is dependent on the shape of its border. By adding points to the border or removing them from the border you can change the shape of the border and the
surface. See Surface Borders.
- Right click any contour line or label and choose Surface Settings. Make sure you have a border traverse selected and choose OK.
- Right click any contour line or label and choose Surface Tools | Edit Border.
- Following the command prompt on the status line, left click any point symbol or point label not in the border traverse. TPC will determine which existing border traverse points are closest and insert the point between them. Once inserted, the
surface will recompute itself and show you the effect of the edit.
- Or left click any border traverse point symbol or point label. TPC will remove the point from the border traverse. Once deleted, the
surface will recompute itself and show you the effect of the edit.
- When you are finished editing points, right click or press enter to end the command.
Note: If you turn off the Manual Recompute toggle in the Surface Settings,
Advanced dialog, you will see the effects of your edits as you make them.
