Traverse Properties Dialog

Traverse PropertiesThis dialog displays the properties of a single traverse.

Name

Use this field to enter or modify the name of the new traverse. Traverse names are displayed in the Traverses Manager and are used for Lot Labels in the Traverse Settings.

Desc

Enter a description for the traverse. You might want to keep the traverse Name short if you plan on using it to label the traverse and putting additional information used to identify the traverse in its description.

Layer

Each traverse can have a layer name that can be used to create separate layers for CAD entities when you export a drawing. You can enter or modify that layer name here.

Code

If a traverser has been created using Point Codes, the code that created the traverse is listed here. When TPC is asked to update existing point code traverses, it uses this Code value to match this traverse with the appropriate point code.

Format

Select a format from the pull-down list. The list includes the pre-defined formats provided by Traverse PC, as well as any formats you have created. Choose the format that is best suited to the traverse.

Select the edit button [...] next to the format list to display the edit the traverse format. This action further modifies the format of the new or existing traverse but it does NOT modify the format you selected from the Format list.

You modify the formats in this list from the Traverse Format dialog.

Settings

Select the Traverse Settings for this traverse from the pull-down list. The list includes the pre-defined settings provided by Traverse PC, as well as any user settings you have created.

Select the edit button [...] next to the Settings list to further edit the traverse settings. This action further modifies the traverse settings of the new or existing traverse but it does NOT modify the settings you selected from the Settings list.

Some settings, like Symbols Only, are designed to be edited. This predefined setting draws a point symbol without any lines. YouSome settings, like Symbols Only, are designed to be edited. Hide (Show) Traverse Info

This toggle hides or shows the traverse info shown here. Close loop traverses include information about their area and closure.

Compute

Updates the traverse info, making sure it is current.

Summary

Sends the traverse info to the current Report View.
