This option allows you to transfer files to other devices such as data collectors that use a serial communication port. For data collectors that use a USB port, you will transfer files using Microsoft's ActiveSync or another program.
To transfer a file to or from Traverse PC via serial communication cable, choose File | File Transfer.
Choose Send if you want to transfer a file to another device such as a data collector. Click the Send button when you are ready to send the file.
Choose Receive if you want to transfer a file from another device such as a data collector. Click the Receive button when you are ready to receive a file
Select an existing profile from the list or use the default profile.
To send a file, type the full path and filename or Browse to the file you want to send. When receiving, the incoming files will be stored in the path displayed. TPC will prompt you for a filename if needed.
These fields display information about the file and the file transfer. These are not editable fields.
Click this button to interrupt the file transfer.
Click this button to clear the Status Log contents.
Click this button when you are done with File Transfer. You will be returned to the view you were in when you selected File, File Transfer.
