If you are not sure which Handshake to use, try Xon/Xoff or RTS/CTS.
Xon/Xoff protocol uses just 3 wires to transfer data. The handshaking is accomplished through the use of an Xon character and an Xoff character.
RTS/CTS protocol uses 4 wires. The fourth wire is the RTS (Request To Send) line that is set high or low by the receiving device.
Note: If you are new to serial communications, we recommend you use Xon/Xoff.
Turn this option on to convert Windows path and file names like C:\MY DOCUMENTS\JOB1.RAW to DOS compatible path and file names like C:\MYDOCU~1\JOB1.RAW. Your data collector may require a compatible name in order to transfer data. This option currently affects Export (files being sent to your data collector) only.
