Increase or decrease the coordinates of the entire survey, selected traverses or selected points by a specified amount.
There are three ways to translate a survey/traverse:
Recall any existing survey point that you want to translate either to known coordinates or to the coordinates of another point. Use the [>] pick button to select the point from the current drawing.
Enter the coordinates you want to translate the point specified in From Point to. If the desired coordinates are already specified by a survey point, just recall the point in To Point. Use the [>] pick button to select the point from the current drawing.
Enter the amount to translate the survey/traverse/points. Use + and -.
Translate this direction and this amount. You can use equations to enter the Bearing and Distance. Use the [>] pick button to select the bearing from the current drawing.
Choose what part of the survey/traverse to translate.
Entire Survey (Traverses Manager) - Translates the entire survey including all traverses and unused coordinate points.
Selected Traverses (Traverses Manager) - Translates only those traverses currently selected in the Traverses Manager.
Entire Traverse (Traverse View) - Translates the entire traverse.
Selected Points (Traverse View) - Translates only those points currently selected in the Traverse View.
If you enter this dialog by right clicking a drawing object for this traverse, you will not be given the option to select what to translate – the entire traverse will be translated.
This is a toggle option. When activated, protected points within the traverse will be translated along with unprotected points.
Undoes any previous translation.
Click this button when you have finished entering your translation data.
