Closing Angle Dialog

This option allows you to specify the leg of a control traverse that you have closed upon for an angular error check.

Closing Angle

Enter the actual angle turned at the closing point to the reference leg. The reference leg does not have to be part of this traverse.

Computed Bearing

You cannot edit this field. It displays the computed bearing/azimuth of the closing leg based on the Closing Angle entered.

Correct Bearing

Enter the correct bearing/azimuth of the closing leg or enter an equation that defines it.

Angular Error

Computed as the difference between the computed and correct bearings/azimuths. This is also the amount of error that will be used to balance angles.

Note: Angles are not actually balanced until you choose Adjust | Balance Angles.
