Geodimeter 600
TPC supports the Geodimeter format. It can Import and Export Geodimeter 600 files
directly to the Geodimeter Control Unit via a serial port on your computer.
Exporting Geodimeter 600 Files
- Select the traverses you want from the Traverses Manager or points you want from
the Points Manager.
- From the TPC Desktop menu choose File | Export.
- From the Type list, choose Geodimeter 600 and select the settings
you want by clicking on the [...] button.
- Choose Direct Connection. and select
Geodimeter from the
Device list and select the settings you want by clicking on the [...]
button. You may need to add Geodimter to the list.
- Prepare the data collector or total station to receive data.
- Choose Export.
The dialog will indicate when the export is complete.
Importing Geodimeter 600 Files
TPC Desktop menu choose File | Import.
From the Type list, choose Geodimeter 600 and select the settings
you want by clicking on the [...] button.
Choose Direct Connection. and select
Geodimeter from the
Device list and select the settings you want by clicking on the [...]
button. You may need to add Geodimter to the list.
Choose Import.
Tell the handheld or total station to send its data.
TPC will display the Save dialog. Select a folder and give it a file name to
store the data in.
The dialog will indicate when the import is complete.and put all of the imported
points into it. The imported points also show up in the Points Manager. If you
don’t want the traverse you can delete it. The points will remain in the Points Manager.

TPC currently supports the following Geodimeter records: 0, 2-11, 21- 30-39,
50-56, 61, 74
