Closure View

The Closure View has two purposes:

First, it summarizes the current traverse, or a portion of the current traverse and shows:

• What kind of closure is currently being used;
• What adjustment rule is selected;
• What errors exist in the traverse;
• A summary of the length and area, if appropriate;
• A summary of the closing points.

Second, it provides the tools for balancing the entire traverse or a portion of the traverse and will:

• Balance coordinates;
• Balance angles;
• Correct for curvature and refraction;
• Apply a scale factor;
• Undo the last adjustment;
• Choose a different adjustment rule;
• Select different portions of a traverse to balance.

By now, you have probably noticed that TPC lets you see all of your data -- all the time. The Closure View is no exception. You see how the errors are computed, and you decide what gets balanced and how.
