LISCAD Leica GSI

This format uses the LISCAD Operation Codes. These are similar to the Wild Soft codes in that they use the GSI format and Information blocks Info1 through Info 4.

Boldface items indicate required information; ( ) and italics indicate optional information

CODE FUNCTION INFO1 INFO2 INFO3 INFO4
1 New Set Up Station Point ID Instrument Ht Target Ht Backsight Point ID
Before observation

The Backsight Point ID must be a known point.

2 New Target Height Target Ht
Before observation
3 Sets of Directions Number of Arcs Number of Foresights
Before observations

A set must contain slope observations as the vertical circle readings and slope distances are meaned.

Sets must us the B1, F1, F2, B2 set format where B1=backsight face 1, F2=foresight face 2, etc.

The backsight point ID is parsed out of the first word of the B1 observation and the foresight point id is parsed out of the first word of the F1 observation.

You may include a new target height (code 2) prior to the F1 observation.

4 Fixed Azimuths Fixed Azimuth Y Offset
After an instrument set up

This code is always used in conjunction with and immediately after a new set up (code 1). The first observation after this code is interpreted as a backsight to a point of specified fixed azimuth from the station setup point.

5 Feature Code New Feature Code Dimension 1 Dimension 2
After first observation

TPC does not interpret a negative feature code as the start of a new string as LISCAD does.

9 Fixed Coordinates Point ID Easting Northing Elevation
