Rotating Objects command

• From the Drawing View choose Edit | Rotate.
• Left click the object(s) to rotate. You can also select the previous group of objects or window/cross the objects you want.
• Right click the mouse or press Enter to tell the program you are finished selecting objects.

• Right click an object and choose Modify Objects | Rotate.

• Left click the base point about which you want to rotate the selected objects. You can also snap to a point.
• TPC moves the cursor 1" to the right and draws a line from the base point to the cursor. This line indicates a rotation angle of zero.
• Move the cursor up or down to change the rotation angle. The selected objects rotate on screen as you move the cursor.
• Left click or snap to specify the rotation angle.

Find Mode

Hold down the Shift key to toggle into fine mode while specifying the rotation angle. TPC reduces the cursor movement to one-tenth, giving you finer control of the rotation angle.on angle.

Ortho Mode

To rotate objects 90, 180 or 170 degrees, hold down the Ctrl key as you move the cursor to change the rotation angle. TPC will select the ortho direction closest to the current cursor position and rotate the objects to it. Be sure to left click and select the rotation angle before releasing the Ctrl key.

Rotating Symbols, Pictures and Inserted Objects

Option 1 - You can use this command to rotate a single object like a point symbol or picture. Use the snap commands to select the insert point of the object.

Option 2 - Many objects can be rotated by right clicking the object and choosing Properties. The object dialog box will contain a Rotation field specifying the clockwise rotation angle for the object.
