Editing Drawing Object Properties

When you right click an object and choose Properties, TPC displays the corresponding dialog for that object. From this dialog, you can edit the size, color, layer, location, etc of the object.

Traverse vs Object Settings

Orignially, this object was created by a traverse using its Traverse Settings. As a result, the traverse is free to modify the object if its Traverse Settings are modified. When you edit Object Settings, the changes you make to the object take precedence over the Traverse Settings that originally created it.

Object Settings that you don't change are still under control of the Traverse Settings that created that object. See Traverse vs Object Settings.

Resetting Modified Object Settings

You can cancel any changes you have made to an object and return to the Traverse Settings that created that oject by resettings its modified attributes.

Modifying Survey Objects

Some text objects, like line and lot labels, are based on survey data. If the survey data changes, the label updates automatically. However, if you modify the text yourself, TPC holds your changes and does NOT continue to update the text to match the survey data. It is therefore possible for a modified line label to report the wrong survey data.

The solution is to modify the text of survey objects only when absolutely necessary. For example, if you want to add record data to a line label, consider adding a survey space text object so the original line label is not modified.
