Breaklines Dialog

This dialog lets you change the way breaklines are used to generate a surface. It lists all the breaklines currently used in the surface plus lets you add / remove or turn off breaklines completely.

Include Breaklines

Breaklines can be turned on or off when generating the TIN. Turning them off does not remove them from the contour. They are still available for use simply by turning them on again.

Remove All Breaklines

Removes all the breaklines from the contour. You do not need to select all the breaklines in the list first.

Remove Selected Breaklines

You can also select the breaklines you want to remove from a surface. Select the breaklines in the list using the Ctrl and Shift keys to select more than one at a time, then choose this command.

Traverses Options

You can both Get breaklines from traverses and Remove the breaklines that are found in traverses.

Select the traverses you want to use in the Traverses Manager then choose Get or Remove.

File Options

You can also import breaklines into a surface from a file and export the current breaklines to a file.

You might find this useful for large surfaces if you want to do some 'what if' stuff. Get the breaklines the way you want then save them to a file. Now you are free to change the breaklines however you want as you experiment with your 'what if' options. If you don't come up with something you like better, just clear all the brealines and import your original breaklines back into the surface.

Include Point Descriptions

Turn this optoin on to include point descriptions in the list of breaklines.
