Drawings Manager

The Drawings Manager manages the drawings in the survey.  It lists the drawings, allowing you to open a drawing, create a new drawing, delete an existing drawing and more.

Opening a Drawing

TPC displays one drawing at a time in the Drawing view. If the Drawing view has not been opened, TPC opens it then loads the selected drawing into it. If another drawing is already displayed in the Drawing view, TPC closes that drawing and opens the selected drawing.

Creating a New Drawing

TPC will display the new drawing dialog where you can enter a drawing name and description plus choose a drawing template to start with. Other options in this dialog let you specify whether this new drawing will be a plan or profile and whether or not to retain the tagged traverses and surfaces.

Duplicating an Existing Drawing

Some times it is faster to duplicate an existing drawing then turn off the things you don't want in the duplicate. The duplicate drawing is independent of the original, so the original drawing is not affected by the changes you make in the duplicate.

Cleaning Up a Drawing

As you work with a drawing, it can contain drawing objects that is is not exposing in the drawing. These objects are temporary and are not stored with the drawing when you save a survey. You can reduce the memory required by a drawing and clean up the point count so you can remove points from the survey by cleaning up a drawing.

Organizing Drawings Into Groups

If you have lots of drawings, they can be grouped. In the example shown here, three As-Built drawings have been grouped together along with two Recorded drawings and 26 preliminary drawings.
