Laser Technology Criterion/Impulse Laser

TPC supports both the Criterion 300 and 400 file formats. The impulse laser can emulate the Criterion 400.

You can Import from a file or connect directly to the TDS data collector and transfer data via the serial port on your computer.

The Criterion does not support exporting data to it.

Importing Criterion Files

• From the TPC Desktop choose File | Import.
  
• From the Type field, choose Criterion 300 or Criterion 400 and select the settings you want by clicking on the [...] button.
  
• Enter a file name or choose Browse and select the file you want.
  
• If you are importing directly from a Criterion, left click Show Direct Connection and turn on the Connect Directly... option. Then select Criterion from the Device list.
  
• Choose Import.
  
• From the Unit Surveys dialog, select the unit surveys you want to import. You can highlight more than one unit survey or choose Select All to select all of them. Then choose OK.

The Import dialog displays the bytes that have been downloaded from the Criterion to the computer.

The Import dialog will notify you when the transfer is complete.

TPC will add a new traverse to the survey and put all the imported points into it. The imported points also show up in the Points Manager. If you don’t want the traverse you can delete it. The points will remain in the Points Manager.
