Horizontal Curve Fitting

From the Traverse View, you can highlight a range of points and have TPC create a 'best fit' curve. The resulting curve will start at the first highlighted point (the PC or Point of Curvature) and will end at the last highlighted points (PT or Point of Tangency). The points in between will become points on the curve and are labeled with a PC point type.

• Highlight a range of points including the PC and PT of the resulting curve.
  
• Choose COGO | Horizontal Curve Fit to display the Horizontal Curve Fit Dialog.
  
• Edit the computed radius displayed in the dialog, if desired. Often times, you will want to round the radius up or down to the nearest unit.
  
• Choose OK. TPC will update the highlighted points, changing the point types as needed, and then redisplay the Traverse View with the new data.
