Many of the COGO tools ask for a bearing or azimuth. You can tell TPC whether you prefer working in bearings or azimuths by choosing Tools | Program Settings | Units to display the Units dialog.
The option you choose here does not affect the Traverse View. The direction you display in the Traverse View depends on the letters you include in the display sequence (A=North Azimuth, B=Bearing, U=South Azimuth) of the Traverse View Format dialog box.
The option you choose here does affect the COGO dialog boxes, Closure View and printouts other than the Traverse View.
