Applying a Scale Factor

This adjustment multiplies the horizontal distance of each course in the traverse by a factor, recomputing coordinates from the Initial point. To double the length of each course, enter a factor of 2.0000.

When TPC applies this adjustment, it inverses between the traverse points to get the azimuth while applying the scale factor to the raw distances. Curvature and refraction is re-applied if it is selected and the new coordinates computed. This feature allows you to balance angles before applying the scale factor without losing the angular adjustments.

Note: The Scale Factor is not the same as the Distance Factor specified in the Traverse View Format menu and does not modify the Distance Factor in any way.

TPC will not apply this adjustment if raw data does not exist.
