Version 4.5

Version 4.5 was released in December 2001. All of the features in V4.5 are included in Version 5.0.

It primarily affects the Professional Edition and adds the ability to work more closely with outside drawings, allowing the user to import DXF drawing files and recreate the layers, objects, blocks, etc. The drawing objects can also be converted into survey points and traverses and used for COGO, stakeout, reports, etc.

Layers -

• TPC now supports layers for increased compatibility with CAD and enhanced functions in Drawing View.

Import DXF Files -

• Import DXF files directly into a drawing. Supports layers, blocks, polylines, solids, etc. Use this to import contour lines right into a drawing or import construction drawings, and then then stakeout utilities, curbs, etc..

Converting Drawing Objects to Survey Points -

• Once you have imported a drawing from a DXF file, you can convert anything in the drawing to survey points and traverses. Now you can stakeout the features in the drawing.

Window Extents -

• Now you can select your own drawing extents.
