Version 4.11

Released in April 2001, V4.11 added the Professional Edition to TPC Desktop for Windows. All of the features in V4.11 are included in Version 5.0.

The Professional Edition is the top-of-the-line edition of our Desktop series. It offers specialized routines like computing the average offset and interval for posting a line. It also includes every data collector, total station and file interface available on the desktop series.

Line and Curve Tables -

• Add line and curve tables to any drawing.

Drawing Templates -

• Create your own drawing templates.

Undo -

• Undo any action in Drawing View.

Nested Commands -

• Zoom window while you're drawing a line.

Polylines -

• Add polylines, force them to close, and then fill them with a color.

Text Box with Word Wrap -

• Draw a box and start typing inside it, or change its width and TPC reformats the text.

Chamfer -

• Insert a chamfer between two intersecting lines.

Fillet -

• Insert a fillet between two intersecting lines.

Enter Exact Values -

• Bring up the line dialog while drawing an object and specify an exact bearing, distance, radius, etc.

Ortho Mode -

• Draw any line, polyline, etc in ortho mode.

Object Library -

• We've included north arrows, scale bars, title blocks, traffic symbols, map symbols and lots more.

Fill Objects -

• Fill rectangles, circles and polylines with a solid color.

Rotating Symbols -

• Rotate any symbol or objects - even the north arrow.

Trim, Extend, Break, Copy -

• Now you can modify existing objects like lines and arcs.

Select Multiple Objects -

• Select multiple objects for moving, copying, deleting, hiding, etc.

Object Alignment and Spacing -

• Align objects left, top, right, bottom or space them evenly.

New Snap commands -

• Snap to the tangent point of an arc or circle, intersection of two objects, or perpendicular to a line.

Zoom Previous -

• Undo as many zooms as you want.

Groups -

• Combine multiple objects into a group, then move it, hide it, copy it, etc.

Blocks -

• Create your own blocks or bring in ones from your old CAD program.

Object Variables -

• Let TPC automatically update the scale, date, file name, job number.

User Defined Objects -

• Create your own reusable drawing objects, title blocks, north arrows, etc.

Adding Point Symbols -

• Add your own point symbols to the point symbol list.

New Legend Commands -

• Add any block, line type or just text to the legend.

Delineate Paper Space Objects -

• This is a really neat way to keep track of which objects are paper space.

Horizontal Curve Fitting -

• Fit a curve through any number of points.

Report View -

• Built-in editor and file manager.

Point Codes -

• Keep track of your codes and sort points into traverses.

Traverse Report -

• Generate printouts for traverse data, closure and legal description for selected traverses.

Legal Description Report -

• Turn any traverse into a legal description.

Stakeout Report -

• Generates a cut sheet for selected stakeout points.

Vertical Curves -

• Apply vertical curves to any traverse.

Profiles -

• Just like Drawing View, but for profiles.

Coordinate Transformations -

• Convert between NAD83, UTM and local grid.
