Adding Points to Traverses
Starting with
V9.5, TPC consolidated the way you add points to traverses with new tools from the
Points Manager, Traverse View and
Drawing View.
Recalling Single Points
- Open the Traverse View for the traverse you wan to recall the point into. You
may create a new traverse or use an existing traverse.
- Position the cursor where you want to recall point. The points will be inserted
above the cursor.
- Choose Edit | Insert New Point | Above Selected Item
or Below Selected Item
or Append to End and
use one of the options in this dialog to recall the points you want.
Recalling Multiple Points
- Open the Traverse View for the traverse you wan to recall the points into. You
may create a new traverse or use an existing traverse.
- Position the cursor where you want to recall points. The points will be inserted
above the cursor.
- Choose Edit | Insert Existing Points... and use one of the options in this dialog to recall the points you want.
Prior to V9.5, TPC used a Scrap traverse. TPC doesn't use the Scrap traverse anymore. Instead, you can insert any traverse into any other
traverse with Insert Existing Points....
From the Points Manager or Traverse View
The selected points will be appended to that traverse.
From the Drawing View
- Open the drawing that has the objects you will use to create the traverse. This
can be a point plot from your data collector, a CAD drawing or the current drawing
you are working on.
- Choose Tools | Add Selected Points to
Traverse.
- In the Add
Selected Points to Traverse dialog, select an existing traverse to add points to.
- Follow the drawing
command prompts on the status bar to select data into the traverse.
- When you are finished selecting data into the traverse, press Enter.
The points you created or selected from the Drawing View will be appended to the existing
traverse.
