SMI (Eagle Point)

TPC supports both the SMI Raw and Coordinate file formats. You can Import and Export to a file or SMI’s V7 Transfer (built in) and transfer data via serial port on your computer.

Importing SMI Coordinate Files

TPC will add a new traverse to the survey and put all the imported points into it. The imported points also show up in the Points Manager. If you don’t want the traverse you can delete it. The points will remain in the Points Manager.

Exporting an SMI Coordinate File

If a traverse or traverses already define the data you want to export, go to the Traverses Manager. If you want to export just certain points, go to the Points Manager.

The Export dialog will indicate how many records were written to the file.

Importing SMI Raw Files

TPC will add a new traverse to the survey and put all the imported points into it. The imported points also show up in the Points Manager. If you don’t want the traverse you can delete it. The points will remain in the Points Manager

Exporting SMI Raw Files

The Export dialog will indicate how many records were written to the file.

Transferring Files

SMI data can be transferred directly to and from your SMI data collector using the built-in transfer program supplied by SMI.

When the transfer is complete, TPC will return to the Import or Export dialog.
