TPC provides very flexible drawing scaling. Use the Zoom Extents command to have TPC compute a scale for you. Then as you develop the drawing, re-scale it as needed. Because TPC retains the text sizes as you re-scale, you’ll never have to go back and re-size the text like you would in CAD.
Zoom Extents command computes the coordinate extents of the survey plus any survey space objects you may have added to the drawing, and scales the drawing so that they all fit on one page.
The easiest way to scale the drawing is from the scale pulldown in the Drawing View toolbar. Just expand the list of scales and select the one you want. The currently selected scale is always displayed on the Format toolbar, so it’s easy to tell where you are.
When you select a scale, Drawing View redraws the survey at the new scale using the current position of the drawing on the page. The current scale is also shown on the status bar at the bottom of the screen next to the X/Y cursor coordinates.
The window extents command allows you to choose the extents of the drawing to which you will apply the scale.
TPC displays the current drawing scale in the Scale pulldown list in the Drawing View toolbar. The current drawing scale is always displayed, but you can easily select a new scale by expanding the pulldown list and selecting the scale you want.
If you do not see the Scale pulldown or the Drawing View toolbar
To determine the current drawing scale do any one of the following
If you would like to use a scale that is not listed on the Format toolbar, choose Tools | Scale List... and enter the scale you want. The Drawing View toolbar will display the closest scale it has to the scale you enter here, but the drawing will be at the entered scale.
When you enter data in a Traverse View that is not sharing the current drawing, TPC displays the traverse in the Drawing View, rescaling it as needed to fit on the page. It’s as if you choose View | Zoom | Zoom Extents after entering each point.
