Adding Drawing Codes to a Traverse

Drawing codes can be added to a traverse as Notes or placed in point descriptions.

Putting Drawing Codes in Notes

TPC inserts beginning codes like Begin Line and Begin Figure above the highlighted traverse point. Ending codes like End Line and End Figure are inserted below the highlighted point.

Putting Drawing Codes in Point Descriptions

Drawing codes can also be placed in point descriptions. As a general rule, any Drawing Codes inserted following any other information in the point description. For example, "FNC .BL" is preferred because the Drawing Code .BL follows the rest of the point description.

Drawing Codes that Require Parameters

If a drawing code requires additional information, insert it after the Drawing Code, separated from the Drawing Code by a space. For example, ".R2 4.2" is used to include the value 4.2 with the 2-Point Rectangle code.
