Use this command to transfer files to other devices such as data collectors that use a serial communication port. For data collectors that use a USB port, you will transfer files using Microsoft's ActiveSync or another program.
If you choose to send a file, you must create the file first then select it from the Transfer dialog. If you choose to receive a file, the transfer dialog allows you to select a path and filename to store the received file in.
The File | Import and File | Export commands handle file transfers that are part of the supported devices. For these devices, you do not need to transfer the file separately.
