The Group ListUse this dialog to manage the Traverse Groups shown in the Traverses Manager and the Drawing Groups in the Drawings Manager.
The Group ListGroups are listed in their sequence, not alphabetically, with a check mark indicating groups that are shown in the view. If a group does not have a check mark, it is hidden in its manager view.
To add a new group to the list, type its name in the upper right corner of the dialog. TPC will make sure the group name you type is unique (there are no other groups with that name) and ask if you want to create it. Choose Yes when prompted to create it. TPC creates the group and adds it to the bottom of the list.
Use this toggle to turn groups On or Off in the manager view. If you turn groups Off, items are displayed in their normal sequence without any groupings. Turn this option On to include groups in the manager.
Only groups that do not contain any traverses can be deleted. If you try to delete a group with items in it, TPC will warn you that only empty groups can be deleted and cancel the operation.
In the group list, check the groups you want displayed and ucheck any groups you do not want displayed. You can also use the Hide All and Show All buttons then check or uncheck groups as needed.
Groups are displayed in the manager view based on their sequence in this list. To move a group up or down in the list, select the group (left click it) and choose one of the Move Selected Group buttons. The Un-Assigned group is always displayed first - you can't move it up or down.
These buttons access the default groups. Initially, TPC provides a list of groups, but you can use these buttons to modify the defaults. Each time you start a new survey, it will copy this default list to the new survey. These will be your available groups until you change them.
Choose this button to save the current list as the default list. The old list will be overritten with this new list.
Use this button to read the default traverse groups and add them to this list. Any unique group name found in this list is added. Duplicate groups are not added.
Press this button to return to the manager view with the changes you have made. If you are selecting a group to place items into, they will be added to the group currently selected (highlighted) in the list.
