EMF files include support for anything that TPC can draw in the Drawing View. This includes fills, hatching, line types, pictures, True Type fonts – everything.
TPC sends the drawing to the meta file much like it would to a printer or plotter. As a result, objects in the meta file are vectored, as opposed to rasterized (like bitmaps). The meta file includes commands to draw a line from one point to another, or fill a polyline, etc. When the meta file is printed, it is the printer’s job to draw the best line it can from point to point. This is how meta files retain their clarity when printed or plotted on different size media.
