	Traverse PC - Desktop Features - Drawing
	Center Drawing at Maximum Scale on Any Page...
	Just pick a page size and orientation, then choose Zoom Extents. TPC centers the drawing and picks the maximum scale at which the survey will fit on the page. Now you can round the scale up or down and drag-n-drop the survey anywhere on the page. Need to re-scale or move the survey now that you've added your legend, narrative and drawing title? No problem, just rescale and drag-n-drop the survey where you want it. Try that in a CAD based program.

	Trim / Rotate / Resize Symbols...
	Whether or not you trim the lines out of the point symbols as shown here or not, the line lengths don't change - that's because the line information is stored in the survey - not the drawing. How do you trim lines in CAD?

	Hatching and Filling...
	TPC allows you to fill drawing objects like circles, rectangles and polylines with a variety of fill patterns. You can choose from solid fills, patterns or bitmaps—you’re not constrained by the limitations of CAD. Filling Objects You can easily fill an object by choosing a fill type from the object’s properties dialog. The fill will move and resize as necessary with the object. Solid Fill The Solid Fill feature uses the current color to fill the object selected. Pattern Fill The Pattern Fill uses the current color to fill the object with the pattern. Pattern fills include Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal (forward), Diagonal (backward), Cross and Diagonal Cross. Bitmap Fill You can fill an object with an existing Bitmap. Bitmap fills do not use the current color. Their colors are defined within the bitmaps themselves.

	Filling a Traverse...
	You fill a traverse in the Control Point Settings dialog. TPC creates a region defined by the control points of the traverse and fills that region with the selected fill type. Since the fill is like any other traverse setting, you can copy it to other traverses and each traverse can have its own fill type.

	Zoom Page / Extents / Window / Previous / In / Out...
	You'll find useful zoom tools plus scroll bars to move you around in your drawing.

	Zoom Points...
	Ever zoomed in on a mess of tight points only to have a larger mess of tight points? It's a problem in CAD programs, but not in TPC. You can zoom points and symbols independently of the drawing - making those details you collected in the field easy to identify - even when you're zoomed in.

	User-Defined Line Types...
	TPC now has Predefined and User Defined line types including: 1) Text lines like —-<WATER>—-, 2) Symbol lines like , 3) Pattern lines like Dash and DashDot, 4) Marker lines like ticks and slashes, and 5) All of AutoCAD’s predefined types like Dash, Dash2, Phantom, Divide, etc. Like the total station drivers in TPC Handheld, the new line types are table driven. The line names and their syntax are all in an ASCII text file that can easily be modified to make an arrow larger or put more space between a dash and a dot. Right click any line and choose “Add to Legend”. Version 6 even includes legend options to increase the symbol width, making room for complex line types to show their whole pattern.

	Pictures...
	Graphics will enhance most any drawing and your customers will be duly impressed with this great feature. Now you can insert a picture right into your TPC drawing so it appears behind your survey drawing. That’s right, you can import bitmaps, GIF, JPG, and Icons and place them onto your map wherever you like. Drag-n-drop them where you want them to appear on the map; resize them to fit just right and you’ve just improved the professional look of your map and exercised your “Craftsmanship” to the fullest. TPC uses the standard Windows dialog for selecting pictures, making it really nice to manage your graphics and easily pick the one you want.

	Variable for File Name, Drawing Scale, Drawing Date, More...
	Just insert one of our standard title blocks and TPC will automatically display the scale, file name, job name, date survey name, client and the location. - all using variables. You can also use them in the blocks you create yourself.

	Paper Space / Survey Space Modes...
	We've made Paper Space and Survey Space really simple - yet really powerful. We turned on the 'Delineate Paper Space' command to show the Paper Space objects in this drawing. If you need to increase the page size to get the scale you want or fit more stuff on the drawing, these objects track with the paper, not the drawing. The benefit? - you don't have to drag them back to where they belong just because you increased the page size like you do in CAD.

	Other Drawing Features...
	Ortho Mode - just hold down the Ctrl key and whatever you're drawing will track N-S or E-W with the cursor. Hide / Show Objects - remember all the times in CAD you moved entities to a new layer then hid that layer? What a lot of work. In TPC, just hide the objects you don't want to show on the drawing. If you want them later on, just show them. Cut / Copy / Paste Text To and From Other Programs - of course you can share text with your other applications. Select Multiple Objects - we save you lots of steps here. Just select two or more objects, then right click any one of them and choose a command, like delete, that works on all the selected objects. View Survey or Selected Traverses - each drawing can view any number of traverses or all of them. It's a little like layers - but a lot better. Drawing, Traverse or Individual - Point Symbols / Line Types / Labels / Colors - sure you can change objects just like you do in CAD, but why would you want to? Use the drawing or traverse settings to do the lion's share of the work, then just change the few objects that are different. Rounded Rectangles - put that professional touch on title blocks, borders, call outs, etc. Rotate Rectangles - now you can rotate rectangles just like you can blocks and text. User-Defined Grid - put any grid you want on the drawing - it even tracks with the drawing rotation. Insert Legal Description - start with your boundary traverse, have TPC convert it to a legal description, then insert it into the drawing.
